*注(1) Open Crown：新芽の出かかっている株の事で、これは植物を購入
する上で大変重要なポイントになります。新葉がすぐ（年内）に出てきそう
な状態をさします。
*注(2)===ソテツのコーンについて===
裸子植物の胞子葉の集まりを"cone"と呼び、そのまま「錐」と訳してい
ますが「球果」と訳す方が一般的です。錐には雌雄があります。
ソテツの雄株は幹の頂上から杯のような形に輪生状に広がっている葉に
囲まれて、その中央に小胞子葉をびっしりとつけた、松かさを長くした様
な長い花粉錐[pollen cone]が付きます。雄錐[male cone]/小胞子錐とも
呼び、「雄花」の事です。
ソテツの雌株は葉の中央に、小さな葉が球状に集まっている大胞子葉
(種子錐)[seed cone]が付きます。雌錐[female cone]/大胞子錐とも呼び
「雌花」の事です。大胞子錐を上から覗きこむと、奥の方に緑色の玉(胚珠)
が見えます。受粉が終わると、大胞子葉どうしが密着しあい、胚珠は外か
ら遮断されます。
